Did you know that in our Starting Solids course, w Did you know that in our Starting Solids course, we tell you to hold off on introducing certain foods until after your baby turns one. What foods you ask?

Egg whites - your baby’s digestive tract can’t break down these difficult to digest proteins, ultimately harsh on baby’s gut lining

Grains - they contain a type of carbohydrate called disaccharides that can feed bad bacteria in the gut. Holding off will allow your baby’s gut time to acquire a wide range of good bacteria

Honey - baby’s don’t have strong enough stomach acid before 1 year old to deal with the potential bacteria that can cause infant botulism

Shellfish - it’s one of the most common allergens, we recommend cautiously introducing after baby is 1

Your toddler is constipated and you’re seeking o Your toddler is constipated and you’re seeking out natural remedies to help ease their discomfort. This pear applesauce with flax is an easy way to increase fiber intake and help regulate your child’s poops. I share instructions for making it at home in either an Instant Pot or Slow Cooker.

INGREDIENTS
3 apples
3 pears
1 cup water (or homemade bone broth)
1-3 tsp ground flaxseed (start slow as you increase your child's fiber intake)
1 tbsp ghee (or grass-fed butter)
Ground cinnamon, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Peel and core apples and pears, and slice into thick chunks.
2. Add to the kitchen appliance of your choice:
Slow Cooker – place apples, pears and water in slow cooker and cook on low for 2-4 hours.
Instant Pot – place apples, pears and water in Instant Pot and cook on manual setting at high pressure for 7 minutes. Do a quick release or natural release after cooking (either works).
3. Add ground flaxseed and ghee to mixture. Use an immersion blender, blender or food processor to puree the mixture. Taste and add cinnamon to taste if your toddler likes it.
4. This recipe will make about 4 servings and you can serve some everyday until constipation eases. Store in the fridge or freezer. With the ghee in the recipe, it serves best if re-heated just a little.

Our course is step-by-step guide to help you intro Our course is step-by-step guide to help you introduce solids in a gut friendly and an age and developmentally appropriate way.

We tell you what to introduce and when and we teach you along the way so you understand your baby’s development.

It’s basically everything you need to know from introducing at about 6 months through your baby’s 1st birthday!

The course includes 12 videos.

6 of the videos are me sitting down with the nutrition consultants we partnered with discussing various topics about gut health, troubleshooting tummy issues, etc.

The other 6 videos are in the kitchen with me doing recipe tutorials and sharing tips for meal planning and prepping and logistics of introducing solids.

Then, there are about 20 pdf printable documents as well with extra info on baby gut health, supplementation, recipes, troubleshooting issues that come up, weaning if you’re breastfeeding, what to expect if you’re formula feeding, introducing water, introducing potential allergens, etc.

It’s the most comprehensive guide! And as of right now there is lifetime access. At some point in the future we might have to put a limitation on that, but say you had another baby in a couple years, you could just email us and we’d reactivate your account if we had to limit our number of members for some reason.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
